These are artistic, environmentally conscious urns and cremation urns for you and your family. The wood urns, adorned with nature's gifts of pinecones, sticks, bark and stones, create a unique green urn perfect for displaying in your home or for burial. Over time, these urns will naturally breakdown as nature intended, leaving minimal impact on the environment.

When purchased ahead of time these urns can be a place to hold cherished items and photos that have been meaningful during your life. They provide a place for your collection for memories to be shared with your survivors. This gift will be easily available to you loved ones not only to comfort them but to allow them to honor and celebrate your life after you are gone.

Each urn has been created as a one of a kind piece of art. Although a pattern is used, each urn is unique. Many of the textures and colors found on these urns come from pinecones that have been deconstructed and reassembled, highlighting their natural beauty. I use every part of the pinecone: the top, bottom, leaves (scales) and even parts of the spine.

Harvey Beechy, an Amish carpenter, living near Kenton Ohio, makes the urns out of poplar wood. My father and I, along with other family members and friends, collect all of the other materials that are used to decorate the urns. All of my materials come from Northern Michigan, Ohio, Florida, the Alsace Lorraine region of France and the Black Forest in Germany.

I have always loved collecting stones. While spending each summer in Northern Michigan, it was easy to find beautiful stones of granite, quartz and fossils. Collecting pinecones came a couple of years ago. Wanting to add more dimension to my urns, I began to experiment with pinecones. The unique pieces that come from each cone are then added, along with stones, sticks and bark to make an original finished work of art.

Since I assemble each urn, it is relatively easy to customize your urn with something personal that you would like to add. I will also custom design an urn either with what you provide or with a pattern of your choice using my materials.

Thank you for visiting my site. I hope that you find something to commemorate your loved one.

Sincerely, Julia
